EU Grants & Funding

Science communication expertise at the service of your EU-funded research.

EU-funded research projects need communication that goes beyond a website and a social media page. They need storytelling that connects with real audiences — from the scientific community to the general public.

We bring years of hands-on experience in science communication, multimedia production, interactive events, educational formats, and digital platforms. We support you from proposal writing to final dissemination — with a strategy that amplifies the reach and impact of your research.

Communicating an EU project: what Space42 Europe offers

Logo and visual identity

Your project deserves more than a generic logo. We define a visual identity that captures the essence of the research, choosing the right metaphors, tone and aesthetic. The result: a complete graphic toolkit ready to work across publications, presentations, social media, and events.

Website and social media

We design websites that go well beyond compliance: functional, beautiful, and built to engage. On social media, we develop content strategies that turn your project's findings into stories people actually want to follow and share.

Communication and dissemination plan

Objectives, audiences, key messages, channels, metrics — we build communication plans that are strategic, actionable, and designed to evolve with the project. Every plan is tailored to your research and your consortium.

Video and multimedia

From 2D and 3D animated explainers to video documentaries, from data visualisation to photographic storytelling. We produce multimedia content that makes your research visible, understandable, and compelling. Because a well-told result travels further than a well-written paper.

Events and formats

We don't just present your project at conferences — we bring it to life. Through workshops, school activities, live streaming formats, interactive experiences, and VR applications, we create moments where your research meets real people. This is where communication becomes impact.

Proposal writing and design

We can support the project coordinator in writing the proposal, both from a graphical point of view — logo, brand identity, templates — and from a narrative point of view. Even a project designed to meet a specific need has a story to tell.

Areas of Expertise

We carefully choose the projects where our experience can make a real difference — and where we genuinely believe in the potential for impact.

Thematic Focus

Thematic Focus

Our core thematic areas: space, ocean protection, biology and ecology, climate change and sustainability — with a particular focus on the green transition, circular economy, renewable energy, and digital innovation.

UN SDGs Alignment

UN SDGs Alignment

The projects we support contribute to selected UN Sustainable Development Goals — particularly Quality Education (SDG 4), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Climate Action (SDG 13), Life Below Water (SDG 14), and Life on Land (SDG 15).

Programmes
we are active on

Horizon Europe

Horizon Europe is the European Union's Framework Programme for research and innovation, running from 2021 to 2027. With a budget exceeding 95 billion euros — including 5.4 billion from the Next Generation EU recovery plan — it is the largest transnational research and innovation programme in the world. The programme funds projects through open, competitive calls for proposals organised into thematic pillars. It is open to universities, research centres, public bodies, non-profit organisations, startups, and private companies, fostering multidisciplinary collaborations between scientific, industrial, and social partners. Every selected project must demonstrate scientific excellence, societal impact, and a solid plan for the communication and dissemination of results, ensuring that the knowledge generated reaches citizens, stakeholders, and the broader scientific community in the most effective way possible. Space42 Europe supports entities, institutions, and international consortia in the communication and dissemination phases of Horizon Europe projects, from proposal writing to final delivery.

LIFE

LIFE is the European Union's primary funding instrument for the environment and climate action. Since 1992, it has supported pilot projects, best practices, and demonstration actions across a wide range of fields, from nature conservation and resource management to emissions reduction and environmental education. The programme is open to public bodies, non-profit organisations, universities, research centres, companies, and European consortia committed to developing sustainable and innovative solutions. It funds projects in four main areas: nature and biodiversity, circular economy and quality of life, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and clean energy transition. LIFE grants support initiatives with a direct and replicable impact, encouraging community involvement, the communication of results, and the dissemination of best practices throughout Europe. Every funded project is expected to translate scientific knowledge into real, measurable, and shareable outcomes. Space42 Europe supports entities and organisations in the communication and dissemination of LIFE projects — with particular expertise in environmental science communication, marine biodiversity conservation, and sustainability.

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the European Union's programme for education, training, youth, and sport, running from 2021 to 2027. With a budget of over 26 billion euros — nearly double the previous programming period — it is the EU's most ambitious investment in people, knowledge, and lifelong learning. The programme funds learning mobility and cross-border cooperation projects across six sectors: school education, higher education, vocational education and training, adult education, youth, and sport. Erasmus+ supports projects that promote digital skills, the green transition, civic engagement, and the inclusion of people with fewer opportunities — with a strong focus on turning ideas into replicable educational models with measurable impact. Space42 Europe supports Erasmus+ projects both as a project partner and as a lead coordinator. Our hands-on experience in STEM education, interactive workshops, live events, and digital learning platforms makes us a natural fit for projects that need more than a plan on paper — they need someone who can design, deliver, and communicate educational experiences on the ground.

ESA Business Applications (BASS)

ESA Business Applications — known as BASS — is the European Space Agency's programme supporting the development of commercially viable services and applications that use space technology. It funds entrepreneurs and businesses from any sector to turn space assets — satellite communications, Earth observation data, satellite navigation — into real-world solutions with market potential. BASS offers multiple funding pathways: Kick-start feasibility studies, Proof-of-concept studies, and Pilot Projects, through both open and thematic competitive calls. Focus areas range from sustainable agriculture and smart cities to maritime, energy, wildfire management, and rural mobility — wherever space data can drive innovation on the ground. Any European business can apply, and ESA provides not only funding — covering up to 75% of project costs — but also technical and business support throughout the development process. Space42 Europe actively monitors and participates in BASS calls. With over a decade of collaboration with ESA — spanning science communication, event production, digital platforms, and multimedia content — we bring a deep understanding of ESA's scientific programmes and their potential. We provide content creation, storytelling, and communication services for BASS-funded projects, helping turn space-based innovation into stories and experiences that reach the right audiences.
